"My daughter, Molly, absolutely loved books. Characters in books were talked about as if they were family members. That's why it was so surprising when she resisted learning to read. Assessments proved her to be well above average in intelligence; however she struggled in school with reading. Her teachers recommended increased practice at home, which always led to strong emotional outbursts. When we finally took Molly to Dr. Kruger at the end of second grade, we found out she not only needed bifocals but also that she needed intensive vision therapy as well. Getting Molly to do the exercises at home was challenging but we persevered and started seeing results right away. Molly went from barely tolerating one minute of reading an easy reader book to reading higher-level books for longer periods of time. By the time she completed her course of vision therapy in third grade, Molly was reading middle grade novels for one to two hours straight - without her glasses!"

"My son, Alex hated to read. His teachers, worried about his reading skills, insisted on having him practice more at home, which brought on temper tantrums. Since we already knew the benefits of vision therapy from Molly's experience, we had Alex assessed in first grade. Dr. Kruger determined that Alex needed reading glasses as well as vision therapy. Getting Alex to participate in his vision exercises was not any easier than it was for Molly but we kept him on a rigorous practice schedule. Alex made even faster progress than Molly. He is in the fourth grade now and is one of the best readers in his class. He no longer needs glasses and can read for well over an hour without any difficulty - and he loves to read!"

"When you first showed us the effects that Amy's non-binocularity had on her reading, writing, coordination, and behavior, I cried because it explained so much of what was holding her back. During the course of her therapy, I grew more and more excited, watching the results, and seeing her bound out of the therapy room, happy and pleased. Even when we were struggling with her home therapy, you and your staff were right there, guiding and encouraging all of us. You treated her as the independent capable child that she is, and that made a difference in the way she accepted the highs and lows of therapy. We also appreciate how you have stayed in communication with us, even through the months of her inactivity. Besides giving us peace of mind, the most tangible results of working with you are that Amy functions well without glasses, behaves well in the classroom, and receives nearly perfect grades. How can we possibly thank you and your office for changing our daughter's life in so many ways? We knew she was a bright, creative, determined student, and you all gave her the opportunity to prove it."

"My success is just feeling good. For at least the last 5 to 10 years I would get a nauseous, sick feeling. At the end of the month, when I had a lot of book work to do, looking from computers to books I would get sick. Reading was not enjoyable and it was hard to walk and look around without getting dizzy. It would feel like I was carsick. In fact my physician prescribed carsick pills. All that did was make me tired. Next they put me through a bunch of test through the inner ear specialist. They put me upside down, they put me upside down, turned me around on my side; just about anything you think could make me sick, they did. The way I understood it, it was to relocate the balls in my inner ear. They also thought that maybe a virus traveled through my inner ear. When I would get really sick it would last for about a week. All I could do was sit perfectly still. It was awful. I went back to the doctor again and they diagnosed it this time vertigo. They gave me pills for that and said I would feel better in a couple of hours. Well that didn't work either. I went back to the doctor again and they set up an appointment with a neurologist. Before I went, my husband suggested checking my eyes out. Sounded good to me. That was when Dr. John suggested eye therapy. So 10 months later, I feel good. I can do book work now without getting sick, my balance is a lot better so I can go for a walk and look around without holding on to my husband's hand and not getting dizzy and I truly enjoy reading. Vision therapy was good for me."
